In 2026, Boscon Ngirinshuti, a 30-year-old entrepreneur from Mataba Village, Nyakabingo Cell, Macuba Sector, Nyamasheke District, Western Province, accessed RWF 4,500,000 in financing from Inkunga Finance Plc to grow his business, Chez Boscon Boutique. Through the Kataza Program, he also strengthened key business management practices, receiving support in customer research, market research, and record keeping. These skills helped him better understand customer needs, assess market opportunities, and make more informed decisions about how to grow his enterprise.
With support from the Kataza Program, Boscon strengthened the foundations of his business and adopted a more deliberate approach to growth. By improving his understanding of his customers, the market, and his business performance, he gained a stronger basis for making investment decisions. Boscon reports that these efforts have contributed to increased revenue and the expansion of his business, while also giving him renewed motivation and greater confidence in his livelihood.
As a result, Chez Boscon Boutique has created three new jobs while sustaining one existing position. Of the three new jobs, two went to young women and one to a young man, bringing women’s representation in the workforce to 75%. Beyond these direct employment opportunities, the business also enables other community members to earn income through casual work. Boscon is also continuing his training with RWAMREC to strengthen his marriage.
The growth of Chez Boscon Boutique has therefore created benefits beyond the business itself. For Boscon, the RWF 4.5 million loan provided the capital to expand, while business development support helped him become more intentional about managing that growth. Reflecting on the program’s impact, he noted: “AMI has helped young people understand business. We can see change among the young people we have worked with. We thank the Government and all the partners implementing this program.” Today, Chez Boscon Boutique represents a growing source of income and employment, particularly for young women, while Boscon’s improved livelihood has strengthened his ambition to continue building his enterprise
“AMI has helped young people understand business. We can see change among the young people we have worked with. We thank the Government and all the partners implementing this program.”
