Overview

The Agricultural Business Development Services Ecosystem Enhancement Project (ABEEP) funded by AGRA is led by the African Management Institute (AMI), Agribusiness Market Ecosystem Alliance (AMEA), and Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU). The project focuses on transforming Uganda’s agricultural sector by enhancing the quality and accessibility of Business Development Services (BDS).

By partnering with Uganda’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives (MTIC), we aim to build resilient Agri-SMEs, drive economic growth, and foster sustainable food systems.

Key Program Features

  • Capacity Building: Tailored training for 60 Ag-BDS providers to improve   technical and management skills.

  • BDS Certification: Recognized BDS Certification after programme completion

  • BDS Registry with MTIC: Addition to registry of certified BDS providers that sits with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives (MTIC)

  • Cost-Share Facility:  10 top performing BDS providers will be selected to receive funding to deliver BDS to Ag-MSMEs
