Before joining AMI, I faced challenges with cash flow, team management, and long-term planning; I was working hard but without a clear path. The programme gave me practical tools and a new mindset. Today, I make decisions based on data. I used to rely on instinct, but now I rely on strategy.. Now I set monthly goals, manage the team more intentionally, and track revenue and customer satisfaction, something I never did before.

The Grow Your Business (GYB) programme pushed me to face tough truths about my business, from poor planning to staff issues. But it also gave me practical tools to turn things around. I became more organised, improved accountability, and learned how to motivate my team. Since then, our revenue has grown by over 84% and we’ve hired a young team member for fulfilment.

Through the programme’s dynamic pod sessions, we had the privilege of connecting with other like-minded business owners who share our passion for growth and innovation. These sessions became more than just learning opportunities, they were catalysts for peer-to-peer learning, sparking meaningful connections.

The programme has been an eye-opener for me in many aspects, the courses for example have helped me to dissect how I respond to problems and proffer solutions.

I joined the AMI programme so that I could network more within the agriculture sector. I have been able to apply the lessons I have learnt from the courses to motivate my team, while the coaching lessons have made me more effective in my role in developing the apiary industry. I have now expanded our innovations into three new districts.

The programme helped me become a good leader, not just a nice one. I’ve learned that being a good leader means handling tough situations with the right mindset and balance; it’s about growth and accountability. Being a ‘nice’ leader might feel easier, but it doesn’t build lasting impact.

I would recommend this programme because it not only helps managers lead, but it also equips them with the skills to help their entire team perform better.
