When I started Renray, I thought I was in the poultry equipment business. AMI challenged me to think more deeply about my customers' needs, helping us strengthen our systems and rethink our value proposition. By expanding from poultry cages to complete poultry solutions, we've grown our business by 70% and increased our contract farming business from 6,000 to around 60,000 birds a year.

Before AMI, I was already working with entrepreneurs across Uganda, but our manual processes made it difficult to scale. AMI equipped me with practical tools that helped me secure four new contracts and strengthen the way I deliver business support. Since then, I have trained more than 300 entrepreneurs across Eastern Uganda and continue helping businesses across multiple sectors grow.

I started Àtijẹ to celebrate West African food and culture, but I was running the business on instinct. The Aspire Programme gave me the discipline to use data, standardise our operations, and build a business that could grow without losing what made it special. Since then, we've increased revenue by more than 40% while creating opportunities for women and reducing food waste in our community

Growing up in a rural community, I saw how a lack of financial skills limited opportunities for young people. AMI's training gave me practical tools that I could apply immediately in my community. Since becoming a Growth Guide, I have trained 202 MSMEs and reached more than 3,000 young people, helping them build saving habits, strengthen financial discipline, and create more sustainable livelihoods.

As demand for our services grew, I worried that scaling would mean compromising the personalised support our students rely on. The Aspire Programme by AMI helped us build the systems and leadership capacity to grow while maintaining quality, allowing us to expand our reach without losing what makes our work effective.

Before joining AMI, I faced challenges with cash flow, team management, and long-term planning; I was working hard but without a clear path. The programme gave me practical tools and a new mindset. Today, I make decisions based on data. I used to rely on instinct, but now I rely on strategy.. Now I set monthly goals, manage the team more intentionally, and track revenue and customer satisfaction, something I never did before.

We had an ambitious vision to improve healthcare in Ethiopia, but the way we operated wasn't built to scale. AMI's Aspire Programme helped us build the systems, strategy, and the leadership we needed to grow sustainably. Today, Waliif Healthcare has grown from 35 employees to more than 250, with annual revenue exceeding US$5 million. We're now sharing what we've learned, with other Ethiopian businesses coming to us to strengthen their own systems and ways of working.

I was passionate about baking, but I knew very little about running a business. AMI, through the Kasipreneur Impact Programme (KIP), taught me how to understand my target market, strengthen my marketing, and put systems in place that helped me run my business professionally. In just three months, my monthly revenue increased by 160%. Since then, my one-woman business has grown into a team creating jobs for six young people in my community.

The Grow Your Business (GYB) programme pushed me to face tough truths about my business, from poor planning to staff issues. But it also gave me practical tools to turn things around. I became more organised, improved accountability, and learned how to motivate my team. Since then, our revenue has grown by over 84% and we’ve hired a young team member for fulfilment.

For years, the business depended almost entirely on me. AMI's Grow Your Business Programme helped me build the systems and team needed to scale. These improvements helped us record a 150% increase in revenue in 2025. Today, we're building a business that can grow beyond its founder.

Through the programme’s dynamic pod sessions, we had the privilege of connecting with other like-minded business owners who share our passion for growth and innovation. These sessions became more than just learning opportunities, they were catalysts for peer-to-peer learning, sparking meaningful connections.

The programme has been an eye-opener for me in many aspects, the courses for example have helped me to dissect how I respond to problems and proffer solutions.
