Overview
If your business already works through a network of agents, distributors or micro-entrepreneurs — in solar, clean energy or another green sector — AMI wants to work with you.
As an AMI anchor firm partner, your own team gets free access to our flagship business growth support for 4 weeks: a diagnostic to identify what's holding you back, followed by management training and coaching designed to build a more resilient, more profitable business.
At the same time, AMI trains the people in your supply chain — the agents, distributors and micro-entrepreneurs who help you reach customers — in business and financial skills. You grow your business while they grow theirs. A win-win.

For this, AMI needs you to be the focal point to access this network of entrepreneurs.
About Green RISE Africa
Green RISE Africa is a four-year programme funded by the Mastercard Foundation and delivered by Acumen Canada in partnership with the African Management Institute (AMI). It supports young people — particularly young women — to access dignified work in Africa's green economy.

Across sub-Saharan Africa, young people are already building the solutions their communities need, from clean energy distribution and climate-smart agriculture to electric mobility and circular economy ventures that strengthen local value chains. Yet many continue to face barriers to growth.

Green RISE Africa (Resilient Impact through Sustainable Entrepreneurship) is a five-year program designed to strengthen Africa’s emerging green economy and expand dignified work opportunities for women and young people.
AMI has worked at the intersection of practical business learning and enterprise growth across Africa since 2014. Our approach is evidence-based and built for immediate, on-the-job application, not theory:
-
Over 40,000 businesses and organisations supported, and more than 100,000 managers and entrepreneurs trained, across 39 countries.
-
An estimated $130 million in incremental revenue and 97,000 jobs generated for the small businesses we've supported.
-
86% of clients report improved business performance after an AMI programme, with a Net Promoter Score of 80.
Our learning model follows a repeated four-step cycle: a ‘Discover’ diagnostic that targets each learning journey to what a business actually needs; live ‘Learning Labs’ facilitated by experienced African trainers; practical tools and digital learning between sessions; and application back in the business itself, so what's learned in a workshop shows up on the ground the same week.
-
Nigerian businesses in the green economy that are:
-
Growth-oriented — not informal or pre-revenue — with a workforce large enough to be a genuine hub for micro-entrepreneur employment.
-
Already operating in a green sector: solar and renewable energy in particular for this pilot, with clean cooking, waste and circular economy, and climate-smart agriculture opening up as the programme expands.
-
Already working through a network of agents, distributors or micro-entrepreneurs to sell, distribute or deliver — an existing supply chain, not one we'd need to help you build.
-

-
Free organisational capacity building for your own team: a business diagnostic, management training and growth coaching, modelled on AMI's flagship Aspire and Grow Your Business programmes.
-
A stronger, better-skilled supply chain: AMI trains the agents and micro-entrepreneurs in your network directly, at no cost and no delivery burden to you.
-
A light-touch ask: we're not asking you to become a training provider. We ask for access to your network and help with training logistics — AMI owns delivery, start to finish.
-

Testimonials
When our team shifted to a hybrid work setup, we had fewer staff in the office while others worked remotely. By learning from the programme how to communicate effectively, I became confident to empower my teammates to accomplish their daily tasks properly irrespective of us being in the office

Cargo Planning and Pricing Manager
Testimonials
This programme transformed how I work and my relationship with the team. I also have more time to think strategically as the team is taking ownership of tasks and projects and we're able to co-create solutions to the challenges that we face. This has resulted in process improvements, leading to cost saving.

The programme is engaging and well delivered. As someone new to the energy field with only basic knowledge, I appreciate how it simplifies complex topics without being overwhelming. The content is clear, concise, well-illustrated, and easy to follow, making learning both enjoyable and insightful.
